Costumes at costume parties? A MUST!
One of my many peeves is when there is a costume party and people rock up with no costume!
I understand that there are a few people who have too busy a life to make or buy a costume, these people have an excuse (a very slim one though – I mean how hard is it to at least put in a token effort?? a generic mask even??). These people are also usually the ones who feel embarrassed about not having worn anything fantastic so at least they know they have committed a social crime and are willing to pay by wearing whatever the host of the party hands to them ;p
Then there are the people who turn up costume-less, with no excuse other than ’I don’t like costume parties, I think they are immature and dumb’.. THEN WHY ARE YOU HERE?!, and won’t even put on a silly mask to show that they’ve at least tried. Often it is worse to have a terrible costume than not to have one at all as the looks one gets at these events tend to be worse for those with generic masks on rather than being mask-less in plain clothes. However, personally I feel that being costume-less is a much more punishable offence.
Three words… Enemy of Fun.
Now no one wants to be called this. It implies great lack of social etiquette and being tagged as the ‘enemy of fun’ is immensely unnerving.
So to anyone who makes an effort… Hells yeah.
and to those who don’t bother… ENEMIES OF FUN!
To Conclude (A couple of pictures from the latest costume party I’ve attended):

Poison Ivy

Doctor Who Matt Smith - Do you notice the sonic screwdriver? ;p

I RECOGNIZE THAT TOP YOU’RE WEARING UNDER THAT COSTUME FROM OUR LATE NIGHT SWIMMING ADVENTURE!!!
ok I’m still all excitable but writing in all caps makes me sound like a twat and I just wanna add that brenton looks super adorable!
Haha you’re very excitable. It’s entertaining.
Oh and how cute is his jacket and bow tie??
Yay! Costume parties are the best! I wholeheartedly agree that people who “don’t like costume parties” are enemies of fun.
