DIY Swarovski Cluster Necklace

I posted this up on Twitter a while ago and now I’ve finally gotten round to editing the tutorial for it.

It’s super simple. Just a lot of threading and wire bending really.

I like to either layer this piece with other long necklaces or to just throw onto a plain outfit to add a little shine 🙂

I’m in a little bit of a Swarovski daze at the moment. I just want ALL THE BEADS!

  1. Hi. I’m new to making jewelry with chain. can you please tell me the size of chain and what kind of chain to use. I dont have a store where I live where I can buy these sorts of things, so I have to order them online. I dont want to purchase the wrong kind of chain.

    1. HI Leigh!

I don’t have this necklace with me any longer. But to be honest I don’t really know chains that well and this was made with some chain I just picked off the internet without really thinking about it.

All I can tell you is that it is made form a form of curb chain. If you search for “jewelry curb chain bulk” or something similar on Ebay or Amazon, you should be able to find something similar. Keep in mind that there are many types of curb chains as well, so if you base your decision off pictures, it’s generally good enough. For sizing, it’s somewhat small, so I’m guessing 1.5mm or 2mm ish give or take.

There’s no need to be so precise with the materials that you use as long as you like how the findings looks.

I hope that helps in some way!
