I recently received a dress from Boo Hoo and have finally gotten around to messing with it. I’m still really into the whole galaxy thing (this is never going to die), and I figured that I’ve already galaxied a cuff, why have I not galaxied a piece of clothing yet?!
So here is my attempt at galaxy-ing the bottom of this cut off dress, hoping to creating a galaxy painted ombre effect.
The dress was originally quite long (midi length) so I cut off the excess. I purposely chose a dress of a longer length so I could use the extra material for another project π

I’m not completely convinced with the outcome. But this is probably because I went with a lime base as opposed to a black one. I think I may have meshed too many of my fave trends into one project (neon, ombre AND galaxy – eep!).
However Β this does allow me to further mess around with the dress at a later stage if I wanted to – thus is the joy of DIY clothing π
This was definitely a lot of fun to do (even if I wasn’t 100% pleased with the results) so if you have anything that you wanted to revamp try slapping some fabric paint on it!
Also, I love that Boo Hoo has a sale section where you can get basics for like 5 to 10 pounds! That’s pretty cheap and really allows for endless DIY possibilities π
